Vastelaovend is een feest voor iedereen en dat vieren we bij House of Confetti ook graag zo. Geef jouw Vastelaovend look een unieke twist onder begeleiding van Irene Heldens en de professionele kleermakers van het Refugee Team en creëer op de drie donderdagen voorafgaande aan Vastelaovend jouw eigen pekske of accessoire. Of je nu een doorgewinterde naaister bent of voor het eerst een naald oppakt, wij zorgen ervoor dat jouw creatieve energie tot leven komt.

We zijn super trots dat we samen mogen werken met de getalenteerde Syrische kleermakers Luqman en Mohammad. Beiden hebben meer dan 30 jaar hun eigen kledingatelier in Syrië gehad. Nu staan ze te popelen om de Vastelaovend traditie te ontdekken, jullie te leren kennen en samen te werken aan een prachtig kostuum.

Breng oude carnavalskleding mee of shop bij de kringloop en samen maken we hiervan een duurzaam en uniek nieuw kostuum.

De workshops zijn los per week te volgen dus je kunt je opgeven voor een, twee of drie keer. Deelname is gratis maar de plekken zijn beperkt dus bij aanmelding graag echt komen.

Vastelaovend (Carnival) is a festivity for everyone and at House of Confetti we love to celebrate it like that. Infuse your Vastelaovend look with a unique twist under the guidance of Irene Heldens and professional tailors from the Refugee Team. Create your own costume or accessory on the three Thursdays leading up to Vastelaovend. Whether you’re a seasoned seamstress or picking up a needle for the first time, we ensure your creative energy comes to life.

We are incredibly proud to collaborate with talented Syrian tailors, Luqman and Mohammad, who each had their own clothing atelier in Syria for over 30 years. Now they are eager to explore the Vastelaovend tradition, get to know you, and work together on crafting beautiful costumes.

Bring old Carnival clothing or find treasures at the thrift store and together we’ll transform them into sustainable and unique new costumes.

These workshops are available for individual sign ups each week, so you can choose to participate once, twice or at all three sessions. Participation is free but spots are limited so please make sure to attend if you sign up.
